Dr. Basak has done Post doctorate from University Claude Bernard Lyon1 in France on “Design optimization & Performance Analysis of Induction Machines through Global search” with an International Scholarship from European Union.

He has done PhD from Jadavpur University on Design optimization of Electrical Machines and awarded Bronze Medal in M. TECH from West Bengal University of Technology.

He Graduated and became a Fellow Member of ‘the Institution of Engineers (India)’ and also Chairman of West Bengal State Centre (IEI). Presently attached as an Associate Professor with Techno India University, Kolkata.

Dr. Basak has arranged No. of National and International Seminar & Conferences as a convener of Electrical Engineering Division, WBSC, IEI.

He started his Industrial Career from Indian Tobacco Company (ITC) and finally switched to academic field. He has more than ten years of teaching Experience in various Engineering Colleges and presently attached with Techno India University as Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department.

More than thirty research articles in National and International Journals, Conferences along with few Book Chapters and one Patent is already in his credit. He has got second best paper award in International Conference (ESDA-2019).

He has guided number of Projects in Graduate and Post Graduate Levels. Presently he is guiding three PhD research scholars in Techno India University.
