Started career as Engineering Apprentice with Burn and Company Ltd., Howrah Works. Worked with Hindusthan Alluminium Corporation Ltd., Renukoot, UP, Ferro Alloy Corporation Limited, Shreeramnagar, A.P., Indian Copper Corporation Limited, Ghatshila, Bihar, in their Expansion Works, worked with the Commissioners for the Port of Calcutta, India Tobaco Company Limited, The Britannia Biscuits Co. Ltd. and Manna Foods Limited.
Served in the Committee and Finance Sub-Committee of West Bengal State Centre, Organised successfully many Technical Programmes of the Centre including Memorial Lectures, All India and International Seminars, National Conference as Organising Secretary/ Convenor. Represented State Centre in the National Conference on Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, NCMRA 2014 in January at Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering, Bankura sponsored by Technical Education Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II) of MHRD, Govt. of India, International Seminar on “Dredging: Equipment and Applications” jointly organised by Eastern Dredging Association (EADA) at International Management Institute, Kolkata, in January 2014. Conducted Awareness Workshop on “Intellectual Property Right – Challenges and Opportunity” in collaboration with Patent Information Centre, West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology, Govt. of West Bengal and “Automobile Emission Control” in collaboration with Hindusthan Motors Limited. Worked in organizing 16th IEI Convocation and Technicians’/ Students’ Convention, 2008 in collaboration with Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal and 20th Indian Engineering Congress in 2010.
A registered Valuer of the Wealth Tax Department, Govt. of India presently practicing as Valuer of Plant and Machinery. Joint Honorary Secretary of Institution of Valuers, Kolkata Chapter, Life Member of Forum of Scientists, Engineers and Technologists. He was one of the Judges for selection of Best Safety Practices – Durgoutsov, 2013 jointly organised by PABSTA Engineers India Ltd. Founder Secretary of 52 year old renowned Sports Organisation Govers Training Camp, Shibpur. Working as Deputy Secretary of Shri Aurobindo Sadhak Sangha, Shibpur, a 84 year old Spiritual Organisation established by one of the close associates of Shri Aurobindo.
Er Kashmir Lal Mallik was installed as the Honorary Secretary, West Bengal State Centre of IEI in the 95th Inaugural Session held on 2nd November 2014.
